NBR rubber gasket (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber Gasket) is a sealing gasket made of synthetic rubber copolymerized from butadiene and acrylonitrile. It has excellent oil resistance, wear resistance, elasticity and sealing performance. It is one of the most widely used oil seal rubber gaskets in the industry.
Main features of NBR rubber gasket:
Excellent oil resistance
Nitrile rubber has excellent anti-permeability and stability to petroleum-based media such as mineral oil, lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, diesel, gasoline, etc. It is an ideal sealing material for hydraulic systems, engines, fuel tanks and other environments.
Good wear and tear resistance
The molecular structure of NBR gives it high mechanical strength, and it is not easy to be worn quickly even on contact surfaces with friction or slight movement.
Strong sealing and small compression deformation
It has good compression rebound performance and can provide stable and reliable sealing in flanges, threaded connections, pumps and valves.
Wide applicable temperature range
The general operating temperature range is -25℃ to +100℃, and the special formula can be extended to -40℃ ~ +120℃, which is suitable for most normal temperature to medium temperature conditions.
Good water resistance, alcohol resistance, silicone oil resistance and other properties
In addition to petroleum-based liquids, it also has certain resistance to certain polar liquids such as water, ethanol, and silicone oil (but not ketones, esters and strong polar solvents).
Obvious processing and cost advantages
NBR gaskets can be mass-produced by molding, stamping, laser cutting, etc., with mature technology and high cost performance. It is the preferred material for most medium and low pressure seals.
Typical application scenarios:
Petrochemical equipment seals (such as oil pumps, fuel pipe joints, oil tank flanges)
Automobile engine and gearbox seals
Sealing gaskets in hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Rubber buffer pads and support pads in oily working environments
Flange gaskets and interface seals in general industrial equipment
